My design books

Simplicity, balance and a modern influence form the basis for my work. I value clean lines, pure uncluttered forms and honesty in the use of materials. My jewellery consists of, and is inspired by many visual references to Japanese Design and various elements found in nature, from the smooth grey pebbles on the beach to the roughly textured bark of a tree trunk.

The process of simplifying elements, objects and ideas is one of the most important and indespensible parts of my work and I strive to create pieces that are both unique and seductively intriguing.

To me, making jewellery is a 24 hour activity where mind and soul are linked together in a quest for something fresh and exciting. I am never separated from my work as I am always searching for new elements to inspire and drive me.
